It's reported that the Chinese steel prices affect the Taiwanese steel market as buyers always compare the price between China and Taiwan, even though most of the Taiwanese rebar production is mainly supplied to local market. Although fourth quarter is the traditional hot demand season in Taiwan, the weak rebar price in China still caused Taiwanese electric furnace mills, such as Feng Hsin and Tung Ho not able to not raise its price further in Taiwan domestic market. Currently, the rebar sales in China are weak due to oversupply.
