Grammer has signed a contract for the acquisition of the Reum Group, a provider of surface, plastics and metal technology.
Reum is specialized in developing and manufacturing high-quality, design-oriented metal and plastic combinations, interior components and surface refinements for the automotive industry. Reum Group has around 950 employees and generated sales of around EUR 130 million in 2014.
With this acquisition, Grammer will be enhancing its own technological capabilities in innovative manufacturing processes and will be able to complete and specifically expand its current delivery scope and product portfolio especially for center consoles following the integration of the Reum product range.
Grammer is buying 100% of Reum Group's share capital from H.T.P. Investments B.V., Palatium Beteiligungsgesellschaft UG and H.T.P. Automotive GmbH.
It has been agreed that the purchase price will not be disclosed. The transaction is being financed via Grammer AG's existing credit facilities.
The acquisition is still formally subject to antitrust clearance.
