Insurance brokerage firm Hylant has completed acquisition of AGIS, an independent, full-service employee benefits agency, further expanding its geographical footprint into Florida, US.
According to the company, the acquisition of AGIS, which has offices in Orlando and Jacksonville as well as Birmingham, Michigan, also strengthens the company's position as a leading employee benefits service provider in the US.
The Orlando office will be led by Andria Herr and Mark Nixon will lead the Jacksonville office, while Birmingham, Michigan office will transition to Hylant's Detroit office.
Hylant Group CEO Michael Hylant said the AGIS purchase demonstrates the company's commitment to the employee benefits space.

As part of the acquisition, AGIS's customers can now access Hylant's employee benefits practice, as well as Hylant's other risk and industry specialty practices, including property and casualty, risk management and insurance services, in addition to the services offered by AGIS.
Established in 1978, AGIS is a full-service independent group benefits insurance agency providing complete employee benefit programs, funding arrangements and services.
