It's reported that some of the Taiwanese rebar mills have announced to temporarily stop offering prices in the mid-time of this year since it's expected that the global scrap prices will rise further after the New Year vacation.Accordingly,the Taiwanese local buyers have rushed to purchase,pushing up the rebar prices to stand at NT$18000/ton this week.It is said the Taiwanese rebar mills'total received order volumes would be at around 60,000 tons with prices of NT$17,900~NT$18,000/ton.Furthermore,some market participants expected the new rebar offer prices in Taiwanese domestic market would be pushed up to NT$18,300/ton after New Year vacation.
